Warranty Policy

We design precision tools for life, engineered with a Repairable Design ethos to ensure your Arc Alarm Clock remains functional for as long as possible. To support this, we provide a comprehensive 5-year warranty alongside a 10-year commitment to the serviceability.

5-Year Limited Warranty

Our limited warranty coverage begins on the date of delivery and lasts for five (5) years. This covers all components of the Arc — including the housing, mechanical components, internal electronics, display, and sensors — against defects in materials and workmanship.

10-Year Serviceability Commitment

In accordance with our Repairable Design ethos, Nanu commits to supporting the longevity of every Arc Alarm Clock for ten (10) years from the date of manufacture. During this period, we will ensure that replacement parts and repair documentation remain available for both in-warranty and out-of-warranty service. This commitment meets or exceeds all local "Right to Repair" laws.

Warranty Requirements

To have a warranty claim accepted, the following conditions must be met:

• You are the original consumer or original gift recipient of the product.
• The product was purchased directly from Nanu or an authorized Nanu retailer.
• The product was purchased and used within the United States.
• You provide the original sales receipt or order number as proof of purchase.
• The product was used only as intended and according to the product’s manual, and care and safety instructions (including firmware updates).

What is Not Covered

This limited warranty does not apply to, and Nanu is not responsible for:

• Normal wear and tear (such as cosmetic scratches, fading, or the natural aging of materials).
• Damage resulting from accidents, misuse, abuse, or improper maintenance.
• Damage caused by repairs that do not follow Nanu-published repair guides or the use of non-Nanu parts.
• Damage caused by the installation or use of any unauthorized firmware, or firmware modifications, not supported by Nanu.
• Operation with the incorrect type of current or voltage.
• Products used for commercial, institutional, or non-residential purposes.

How We Handle Claims

If a defect arises during the 5-year warranty period, Nanu will, at its sole discretion:

1. Repair the product using new or refurbished parts;
2. Replace the product with a new or refurbished unit at no additional charge;
3. Reimburse the purchase price (reimbursements may be pro-rated based on the remaining warranty term).

Repaired or replaced items are warranted for the balance of the original warranty period or 90 days from the date of service, whichever is longer.

The consumer is responsible for initial shipping costs and packaging associated with returning the product to Nanu. Nanu is not responsible for products lost or damaged during transit. If your warranty claim is validated, Nanu will cover the cost of return shipping to the consumer. In jurisdictions where required by law, Nanu will also reimburse reasonable inbound shipping costs for validated claims.

All parts or products replaced under this warranty become the property of Nanu. Nanu reserves the right to require the return of the original part or product. However, at Nanu’s discretion, we may instruct you to dispose of the defective part locally. In such cases, you agree to dispose of the item in accordance with your local electronic waste (e-waste) regulations.

Important Legal Protections

Assumption of Risk for Repairs: Any repair attempted by the customer or an unauthorized third party is done at the user's own risk. Nanu is not liable for damage or injury resulting from independent repair attempts. Damage caused by failed repair attempts will be repaired at the customer's expense. Failure to respond to a repair estimate or provide return shipping instructions for more than 60 days following a final notice will be deemed abandoned and disposed of.  

Disclaimer of Warranties: To the extent permitted by law, this written warranty is exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties. Nanu limits the duration of all statutory and implied warranties—including the implied warranty of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose—to the five (5) year duration of this limited warranty. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

Limitation of Liability: Nanu’s sole liability is limited to the remedies listed above. Nanu is not responsible for direct, special, incidental, or consequential damages under any legal theory. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
