If your Arc isn't responding when you plug it in or press any buttons, follow the steps below in order.
Step 1: Perform a hard reset
A hard reset clears the device's state and resolves most startup issues. To perform a hard reset, see full instructions with visuals here.
Not working? Try it 2–3 times — the timing can take a little practice. Both buttons need to be pressed simultaneously for the reset to trigger.
Step 2: Confirm the device is receiving power
If the hard reset doesn't help, Arc may not be getting stable power from the outlet or adapter.
Try the following:
- Plug into a different wall outlet. Some outlets are switched off by a wall switch — try one you know is always on.
- Try a different USB-C power adapter if you have one available.
After switching, attempt the hard reset again (Step 1).
